Meet Our Staff

Doug Luther
Doug LutherCo-Owner
Doug Luther is co-owner of Sustainable Seed Solutions (SSS) and also is co-owner and operator of Luther Family Farms GP located in Overton, Nebraska. He and his wife Alicia are also raising daughters Ella, Gracyn, Emerson, and sons Eli and Asher. Doug has a passion for agriculture and new technology that continues to drive the
industry.

SSS was created to help serve farm producers and make them profitable with
honest seed recommendations.

In his spare time, Doug enjoys family time, vacations, and coaching baseball, football,
and basketball. He also assists in running the Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle at Overton High School.

Ryan Weeks
Ryan WeeksCo-Owner
Ryan Weeks is co-owner of Sustainable Seed Solution and also Owner and CEO of Weeks Family Farms in Juniata, Nebraska. Ryan and his wife Kristi spend their time chasing around three kids active in a variety of activities from all sports to guitar and piano, along with participation in 4-H. Ryan has a passion for agriculture and has been highly involved in helping establish AgEd and FFA in Adams County along with serving on numerous local, State, and National boards to advance the business of agriculture. This passion carries over to the seed business and the need for honesty when it comes to helping customers profit in a tough ag environment, hence the need to work with Doug to start Sustainable Seeds and really focus on service and honesty in the seed business.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys following his kids’ activities, coaching, serving on committees at Hastings Catholic Schools, and a little hunting or fishing when it fits in.

Tyler O'Brien
Tyler O'BrienSeed Sales/Agronomy
Tyler O’Brien was born and raised in the Grand Island area where he attended high school at Grand Island Central Catholic, from there he went on to study Agronomy and Animal Science at NCTA in Curtis and continued his education at the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Agronomy. Upon graduation, Tyler went to work for the Coop system for four years before he joined the Sustainable Seed Solutions team in March 2021.
His fiancé, Jentri, and he have two dogs, Izzy and Jose. They reside in Shelton. Tyler also farms and ranches with his father where they raise and sell registered Simmental, Angus and SimAngus bulls, heifers and show calves. In his spare time, Tyler likes to hunt, fish, team rope and attend cattle shows/sales.
